EEEEKKKKKK!!! You don't have to spend $200 on a solar cooker!!! You can EASILY make one out of carboard boxes, tin foil, newspaper, and bits of this and that. There's TONS of info on the web; I've compiled some of it at http://www.hannahgrimes.com/localvore/ solar_cooker_resources.htm, including links to plans for a simple box cooker, a Pringles can hot dog cooker (not that I recommend actually eating the Pringles!), a pizza box cooker, and lots of fun stuff.
